Content marketing is about creating content that will help Google to find your site and posts and to ensure you rank highly in the search engine results pages. While this is a powerful and useful effect though, it's actually only one part of what content marketing is about. Google is very smart at not only sniffing out low quality and paid links, but also irrelevant links. Knowing where to find good keywords and the proper way to work them into a website’s copy is important, but it’s only a small part of Search Engine Optimization process. It’s also still worth pursing Wikipedia links when appropriate. Wikipedia is very picky about their references, so you’ll have to provide very niche, unique content, but if you can get a link it can bring about some pretty cool results – including other do follow links.
Use both internal and external links to add further value
Google says it needs to detect an INTENT to manipulate Google to incur a penalty, and you should be OK if your intent is innocent, BUT it’s easy to screw up and LOOK as if you are up to something fishy. Google wants to provide information-rich Get your arithmetic correct - the primary resources are all available here. Its as easy as KS2 Maths or something like that... search results to its users so obviously it doesn’t like it when valueless content appears at the top of the search results. I always thought if it improves user experience and is better than what’s there in those long tail searches at present, who’s complaining? In fact, for the best results, it needs to play a major part in your entire company culture.
My thoughts on link exchanges
The key is to know your audience. So, I think each person in SEO has to work hard to develop good, credible sources of information. The idea of this kind of content is to remain useful irrespective of the time. For instance, “How To…” articles stand the test of time because someone somewhere will definitely need that guide at some point in the foreseeable future. Plus, evergreen content does not need much updating (unless there is new information), unlike news and seasonal articles. However, there are instances where this is possible, such as when a logged in Administrator is updating content and navigational links.
When someone mentions web portals do you think about search engine optimisation?
The anchor text section clearly shows what text the links pointing to a website has. This is an opportunity to take a look and make sure that the website does not have a spammy anchor text profile. Over the last decade, I’ve had lots of success with SEO on my website and

from tactics that offered quick returns or were geared towards

Write about URLs
This is the origin of SEO’s spammy
reputation. Bad-actors manipulated off-site
signals by fabricating inbound links with
things like link farms—clearly not living,
breathing humans giving a vote of confidence
that the content is indeed about what you
claim it to be. Once A great example that I like to use is Indozine. the search engines algorithms had been repeatedly refined and once important metrics such as keyword density became secondary factors (only as a warning that the keyword density must not be too high and not go over the optimization goal), keyword stuffing finally went out of fashion and is now considered a spam measure which does not even lead to short term success. on Google and see where you stand in the rankings. Keep a record of the ranking and you will be able to
see the progress of your SEO efforts. Note jumps by more than five places in the ranking, because these
changes are not usually due just to normal changes and search engine updates. Search engines no longer require you to spell things in order to rank, so your focus should be on writing for the people viewing your page instead. After all, time on page and other elements indicating your content was useful provide a stronger value for SEO.
